Hispanic Students In California Offended By The Stars And Stripes

Update: How awesome is this:

One wonders why people want to come here if the mere sight of Old Glory offends them.

A Stanislaus County school is forcing a student to take an American flag off of his bike.

Snip…

“(The) First Amendment is important,” Superintendent Edward Parraz said. “We want the kids to respect it, understand it, and with that comes a responsiblity.”

Parraz said the campus has recently experienced some racial tension. He said some students got out of hand on Cinco de Mayo.

“Our Hispanic, you know, kids will, you know, bring their Mexican flags and they’ll display it, and then of course the kids would do the American flag situation, and it does cause kind of a racial tension which we don’t really want,” Parraz said. “We want them to appreciate the cultures.”

I am starting to think that schools just can’t handle the job of educating kids and maybe we should just do the voucher systems for all kids to go to private schools. If they have to trample a kids rights and disrespect the American flag than these administrators are not up to performing their jobs, and should be forced out to the private sector.

Give California back to Mexico. Who needs it?

  3. As an American of Mexican descent, can I just say, F#@K anyone who is offended by the US Flag, especially those raising any other flag against it…

The racial tension is being perpetuated by students who don’t appreciate either the American flag or, for that matter, the 1st Amendment. They need to be taught that to be an American is to respect the right of others to express themselves — and the American flag is symbolic of that right. Very basic civics.

Racial tensions over two separate countries respective flags? Mexican is not a race. It is an ethnicity. American is not a race, it is an ancestry and citizenship. If the people of hispanic descent are offended by the American flag then they are either not Americans or not citizens. In either case, why, then is the county pandering to them.
In either case, who cares what offends them? Either go back home and get in line for citizenship so you have the right to speak up, or shut up. If you are not an American, you have no rights here.

Go stuff that in your immigration lawyers status.

Fire the Superintendent! What a libtard…

  9. I respectfully submit that said students relocate themselves to place where they won’t be offended by
    the sight Old Glory.

Better yet, ICE can help them relocate..furious

What the h3ll is wrong with Americans that this idiotic state is getting away with this, as well as a bunch of damn3d illegals. And I don’t care if they’re here legally or not. Being AMERICAN means leaving the old country, flag, loyalties and culture BEHIND and becoming AMERICAN. If you aren’t willing to do that, then get h3ll OUT of this country…it’s simple as that!

Good Lord!! What has become of this country? Thanks to the ’60′s hippies, who are now the teachers & school administrator’s, we have lost control of our own schools.

My comment to those that find my flag offensive in my country ..!.,

  13. Suzen

Why is this flag such a distraction? It’s on a bike, outside, not in a classroom. Anyone who is offended is NOT an American, does NOT belong here, & has ONE right as far as I’m concerned…the right to shut up & get the h*ll out! Our people died for that flag and what it represents. I was taught in school to honor & respect the flag, & there is NO inappropriate time to display it. I’ll be d*mned if anybody will tell me I have to take my flag down…it’s not happenin’!

  14. It’s Mexifornia, we don’t live here, we’re trapped here.

  15. So I guess that there is no flag on the flagpole at this school? Really?

    • paulag1955

No, that makes this story even more bizarre. The school does fly the flag out front. There is no logic at work in public schools today.

As degeneracy progresses to its logical conclusion, self-destruction, the degenerates lose their sense of identity. This leads to not knowing which side one is on. It then devolves to not really caring about the difference. Then ends with actually identifying and embracing the other side.
I would say those who have embraced political correctness are following that path rather closely.

Here’s a true story, I had a small banner on my fence facing a park, it was advertising a summer bible school at our church. A person called and complained about it to the church and I was told to take it down. I put up a nice 30′ flag pole and a nice American flag.
My neighbor came over and started giving me a lecture about the responsibility. I calmly told him I was a Veteran (USAF 66-70) and I had a pretty good idea about the responsibility (far too many boxes from Vn. Had he continued, there would have been 9 more just like it along my property line. Forgot to mention he’s from the Middle East somewhere, claims to be Greek, yeah right.

You don’t like the American flag? Then get your arse OUT OF AMERICA!

Stupidity run amok in public education these days…

PC liberal BS will be the death of america

  21. @Suzan; I agree, but one more thing: Even if it were in a classroom, so what? This is America, public schools are run by the American government, and last time I checked, governments have the ability to fly their OWN FLAGS.

This is not even a question of the First Amendment. This is a question of whether a few people are going to let themselves get up in arms about something even our federal government can do.

  22. I think the mexican kids should get to display their flags – IN MEXICO – go to Mexico and celebrate Cinco de Mayo as much as you want – while in the US – learn about US – and GET OVER IT.

Principal – you need a refresher course on the US Constitution.

  23. I have a free airline ticket to any commie or third world country for that dumb bunny of a principal to go live in!

No wonder kids can’t read or write when you have such knuckleheaded educators. Leave America, we will all be better for it, you traitor!

God bless America! Fly the American flag students. Show up every day with an American flag! It is your right to do so! America, stand up to these slugs in power at our schools. They work for you, you don’t work for them.

There are many of us who wish that we could be that 13 year old student with the flag for just one day at that school. Let anyone try to make us put it away.

Cody Alicea .. our young patriot…I believe his last name is of Puertoican ancestry. He has a minority name but he is** NOT** flying the flag of Puerto Rica. He is flying the American Flag on his bike.
Why do we allow others to tell us **Not to FLY the Flag of our country ???
They are “Offended” by OUR Flag ? Their offended feelings do not over-ride my basic American freedoms.
Flying the American Flag is not
meant to denounce anyones ethnicity nor their homeland. THIS IS AMERICA… To me, the American Flag represents
freedom and my love of my country and it’s history. I do not go to other countries and demand they remove their flags nor tell them when and where to display them.
My ancesters were from England and Ireland..I do not fly their flags. I fly the American flag and pledge my allegiance to it. My child’s father has Mexican ancestry and we do not fly their flag either. We fly the American Flag proudly!!!

    • paulag1955

My husband is also an American of Mexican descent and it would never occur to us to fly the Mexican flag for any reason.
